James Earl Hollywood III is a seasoned systems leader, educator, and policy strategist with over a decade of experience spanning juvenile justice, mental health, education, workforce development, and climate sustainability and resilience. He is the founder and Executive Director of Together for You, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting justice-involved youth through mentorship, reentry services, and career readiness. His work focuses on building equitable systems, strengthening cross-sector partnerships, and expanding opportunities for individuals and communities that are often overlooked.

James has served in leadership roles at both the state and national levels. At NAMI Maryland, he led mental health policy initiatives and program expansion statewide. At the Annie E. Casey Foundation, he worked closely with state agencies to reform juvenile justice and child welfare systems, focusing on leadership development, systems alignment, and equity-focused innovation.

At MERS Goodwill, James led adult education and workforce development programs that integrated GED instruction, job placement, housing support, and employer-aligned training for justice-involved and underserved adults. He also coordinated regional partnerships to align training pipelines with community needs and economic opportunity.

As a professor at the University of Baltimore and Anne Arundel Community College, James teaches courses on leadership, communication, and social change. He is also a grant reviewer for the Bureau of Justice Assistance, a subject matter expert at Georgetown University, and a member of the 11th cohort of the Military Mentor Fellowship.

James is deeply engaged in climate change advocacy and environmental justice, working with partners across local, state, national, and international platforms to address sustainability, resilience, and community-level impacts of environmental policy. His climate work intersects with public health, education, and equity—amplifying the voices of frontline communities in decision-making spaces.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology/Pre-Law and dual Master’s degrees in Public Administration and Strategic Communications from Arkansas State University. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies at both Omega Graduate School and the University of Maryland, with a focus on public policy and social leadership and a host of other collegiate certifications.

A devoted husband, father of nine, minister, and author, James actively serves on several boards and advisory councils. He is known for his integrity, practical leadership, and deep commitment to justice, sustainability, problem-solving, and transformative community change.
